Dane Street is expanding our physician panel! Dane Street is an Independent Review Organization and a national provider of Independent Medical Exams (IMEs), among other offerings, and we are expanding our physician panel resulting in opportunities for non-traditional physician work and additional income. Your expertise and this work are critical to supporting our local veteran community and essential to streamlining access to benefits for those military veterans who have served our country.
Dane Street has expanded our offerings to include Federal Exam Services in support of the military and VA community.
This opportunity is for blocked time for full days, half-days, or 2-hour time commitments (half-hour, or full-hour exams depending on complexity) on the blocked days you select. On full days, you would be scheduled with 8-10 exams. There is a current backlog and an abundance of exams to complete and, based on your location and availability we can schedule multiple days per week or per month for as many days as your schedule permits. Active state licensure is required. If you have not completed VA training, our team will help facilitate this process once you join our reviewer panel.
The required recording of results and reporting is simple and concise and is done within a user-friendly, web-based portal. Thorough orientation and training are provided and all scheduling is coordinated for you. In some cases, clinic exam space may be available but in general, you will be conducting in-person exams in your clinic location. Our physician panel is comprised of independent contract reviewers (1099) compensated on a flat rate per day basis.
JOB SUMMARY
As a Physician Reviewer/Advisor supporting Federal exams, the physician reviews medical records, performs a physical exam of the patient, and addresses clinical questions regarding the patient's diagnosis, clinical care plan and regimen, and extent of disability. Engaging independent clinicians with this expertise is critical to the process. No-show/cancellation fees are established to protect your time.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
On a contract basis and on the blocked days you have designated, you will review all medical records, conduct physical exams (8-16 per day), and employ your clinical expertise to answer questions and address clinical concerns by inputting (selecting in some cases) responses into the portal.
All referral processes, scheduling, case preparation, and medical record sorting are done for you and we facilitate all client and claimant communications outside the actual exam.
