Rivian’s Direct Procurement team is looking for a Purchasing Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the Procure-to-Pay process and creating the necessary visibility to stakeholders the team supports. A successful candidate is familiar with basic purchasing and accounting fundamentals and capable of following thinking outside the box to meet a growing list of challenges. This position reports to the Sr. Group Manager onsite in Palo Alto, CA or Irvine, CA. 

• Assist in the creation of purchase orders for various teams under the Electronics organization
• Process orders using an ERP purchasing system (SAP & Coupa)
• Assist in the creation of change orders and purchase order maintenance
• Help maintain compliance with Procurement Policies and Procedures
• Assist in managing the Purchasing department implementing more effective purchasing procedures for internal forms, equipment, and telecommunications
• Create and maintain reports to provide visibility to upper management on various topics and issues
• Maintain a high level of customer service with cross functional departments
• Operate a helpdesk for stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teammates
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering preferred or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of relevant Supply Chain or Purchasing Experience
• Experience with ERP systems and purchase order processing – SAP & Coupa experience required
• Able to work independently with little instruction and can adapt to change
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to details and deadlines
• Able to work well with others in a team environment
• Proficient in Google Workspace
• Familiarity with Tableau is a plus
• Effective communication skills and customer service approach
• Action-oriented and solution-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Highly accurate and detail-oriented

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Southern California Based Applicants: $107,800 - $134,800 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Northern California Based Applicants: $117,200 - $146,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary:  Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
