Job Description

Maintenance and Repair:

* Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and servicing heavy equipment.

* Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.

* Repair or replace worn or damaged parts, such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.

* Overhaul and test major components.

* Consult equipment operating manuals, blueprints, and drawings.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

* Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify malfunctions.

* Inspect equipment for damage or excessive wear.

Specialized Skills:

* May specialize in specific types of machinery, such as tracked vehicles, fuel injection systems, or hydraulics.

* May perform welding, brazing, or other specialized repairs.

Record Keeping:

* Maintain logs of equipment condition and work performed.

* Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules and repairs.

Other Duties:

* Travel to job sites to repair equipment.

* Instruct operators on equipment operation and servicing.

* Adhere to all safety policies and regulations in the workplace.

* Collaborate with the team to enhance machine reliability and performance.

* Provide technical support and training to other maintenance staff.
