A leading supplier of premium commercial flooring products and labor services to national retailers across the USA, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Commercial Flooring Installation to join our innovative team.
As the Director of Commercial Flooring Installation, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our dedicated team of project managers and estimators. Your responsibilities will include direct oversight of project managers and estimators, managing in-house installers, and building/leading our installation division. You will also have the opportunity to spearhead new initiatives that establish best practices for subcontractors and project managers within the industry.
To excel in this role, you should have a proven track record of successfully managing commercial flooring teams and projects.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in managing project managers and estimators: We are seeking a candidate with a track record of successfully leading and managing teams of project managers and estimators in the commercial flooring industry. Your ability to provide guidance, support, and direction to your team will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of projects.
* Excellent working knowledge of subfloor issues: including subfloor preparation, repair, and maintenance, is crucial for the Director of Commercial Flooring Installation role. Your expertise in addressing subfloor challenges and ensuring proper substrate conditions for flooring installations will be essential.
* Solid understanding of patching/leveling compounds and moisture mitigation: Proficiency in working with patching/leveling compounds and implementing moisture mitigation strategies is key to delivering high-quality flooring installations.
* Sound proficiency is current installation best practices: Including techniques, tools and industry standards.
* Strong knowledge of competitive subcontract pay rates nationally: Understanding labor costs and negotiating competitive compensation for subcontractors is essential in managing our nationwide network of subcontractors. Your ability to ensure fair and competitive pay rates for subcontractors will be crucial to our continued success.
* Experience in building and developing subcontractor network nationally: As part of the role, you will be responsible for collaborating with subcontractors across the country. Your experience in finding, vetting, building and nurturing relationships with subcontractors on a national scale will be instrumental in expanding and optimizing our network of partners.
* Experience in reviewing flooring challenges in the field and overcoming them: Your ability to assess and address flooring challenges in real-world installations will be critical in ensuring the successful completion of projects. Your problem-solving skills and hands-on experience in resolving field issues will be highly valued.
* Familiarity with flooring project management software: Proficiency in utilizing flooring project management software to streamline processes, track progress, and manage resources will be advantageous in this role. Your ability to leverage technology to optimize workflows and drive operational efficiency will be a significant asset.
* Proven track record in the flooring industry: We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrated history of success in the commercial flooring industry. Your experience, expertise, and achievements in the field will be key indicators of your ability to excel in this role.
* Experience with reviewing contracts and good understanding of Microsoft Excel is a plus for the candidate we are looking for.
